The function of pharmacy council are given below-
1. To approve examination in pharmacy for the purpose of qualifying person for registration as pharmacist.
2. To prescribe the subject in which approved examination shall be held.
3. To approve the courses of study, piratical training in pharmacy for the purpose of administration to approved examination.
4. To prescribe the condition & procedure for admission of candidates.
5. To prescribe the equipment to be made available to the student.
6. To recognize degree or diploma in pharmacy for the purpose of registration as pharmacist.
7. To prepare & maintain register of pharmacist or apprentices in pharmacy.
8. To register pharmacists & grant certificates of registration.
9. To lay down the standard of teaching & to be maintenance by institution conducting the approved courses of study.
10. Inspection of course & examination in institution which conduct any conduct any course of study.
11. To hold examination for the purpose of registration as pharmacist.
12. To do other acts which are required to do by or under this council.
