a.Protein hormone -Ex: Growth hormone Thyroid stimulating hormone
b.Steroid hormone - Ex: sex hormone Adreno-corticotropic hormone
c.Derivatives of amino acid - Ex: Thyroid hormone or Thyroxin hormone
2.Site of action hormone :
a.General hormone - Ex: Growth hormone
b.Local hormone - Ex: local hormone of gastro-intestinal tract.
c. Tropic hormone - Ex: thyroid stimulation hormone.
